As a professional photographer, I had the opportunity to test out the Canon EOS M50, and I am happy to report that it is an exceptional camera. During my day at Santa Monica Pier, I was able to test out its features and capabilities and was impressed by what it could do.
The Canon EOS M50 is a mid-range mirrorless camera boasting a 24.1-megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor coupled with a DIGIC 8 image processor. It can shoot at up to 10 frames per second, with a maximum ISO of 25600, and a maximum shutter speed of 1/4000th of a second. Its dual pixel autofocus system is designed to focus accurately, even in low-light conditions.
At Santa Monica Pier, I captured some great pictures of the beach, pier, and wildlife. The camera’s autofocus system worked flawlessly, allowing me to capture sharp images quickly and accurately. I was also impressed with its ISO performance, which allowed me to take clear and sharp photos in low-light settings without adding noise.
The Canon EOS M50 is capable of capturing stunning 4K videos, and I was able to test this feature by taking some great footage of the pier and wildlife. The camera’s image stabilization technology was excellent, and I was able to capture steady footage even while moving around.
Overall, the Canon EOS M50 is an excellent mid-range mirrorless camera for photographers and videographers. It is affordable and packed with features, including excellent image quality, accurate autofocus, and 4K video recording capabilities.

Santa Monica Pier is a fantastic place to explore and capture photos, and I thoroughly enjoyed testing out the Canon EOS M50 there. Some fun facts about the pier include that it was built in 1909 and is currently the most visited tourist attraction in Los Angeles. It has an amusement park, a carousel, and numerous restaurants and shops, making it the perfect place to take stunning photos and videos with the Canon EOS M50.
