The HUNSN RS42 is a 1U rackmount firewall appliance that comes with OPNsense, VPN, and network appliance features. It is powered by either 2nd Gen Intel Core i7-2620M / 2640M Processor and has AES-NI support. The memory supports 1 SODIMM DDR3/DDR3L 1066/1333 and can take up to 16GB RAM while the storage includes 1 mSATA SSD and 1 2.5/3.5 inch SATA SSD/HDD.

The HUNSN RS42 has several I/O interfaces including console, 2 USB ports, 8 LAN ports, 2 SFP+ Optical ports, VGA, and Power Switch. There is also Mini PCIe for WiFi/4G expansion (contact HUNSN to customize). The chassis is a 1U 19-inch cabinet that is rackable and comes with mounting bracket ears, wall hanging and footpad.

The network card features 8 Intel 82574L 10/100/1000M Ethernet controllers, 2 SFP+ Optical ports (the SFP model is 10 Gigabit 82599ES). The WAN-LAN throughput is 1Gbps through 1 Gigabit NIC from LAN to WAN forwarding speed and around 5Gbps or more through 10 Gigabit Optical from LAN to WAN forwarding speed. The processor uses the ball silent cooling fan to ensure long time work and stable cooling.

The HUNSN RS42 also has a power of 100w 100v-240v 50hz/60hz and size 430 x 280 x 48mm. It weighs 6.5kgs and comes with a packing list that includes the HUNSN RS42 firewall appliance, rackable ears, power cord, and warranty card. The system compatibility includes any FreeBSD based router systems, Linux distros, or Win.OS supported. It is also compatible with firewalls tested with pfSense, Untangle, OPNsense, and other popular open-source software solutions.
