Aruba Networks Mobility Access Switch S1500-48P

A critical component of the Aruba Mobile Virtual Enterprise (MOVE) system, the S1500 provides secure, virtualized access services to users, regardless of their location, access method, device, or application. Three models of the S1500 are available, with 12, 24, or 48 10/100/1000BASE-T ports that have power-over-Ethernet (PoE) capabilities. The 24- and 48-port models include four 1000BASE-X SFP fixed Gigabit Ethernet uplink ports, while the 12-port model includes two 1000BASE-X uplink ports. The IEEE 802.3af PoE provides up to 15.4 watts per port of PoE, while the IEEE 802.3at PoE provides up to 30 watts per port. The S1500 is ideal for branch and small office deployments, complemented by its compact size, quiet operation, and advanced features.

PoE Priority: The ArubaOS PoE prioritizes PoE devices by assigning a priority level to guarantee that important devices such as access points, security cameras, and communication systems will not lose power.

Hot Standby Link (HSL): The HSL function provides a failover mechanism that does not require configuring or running a spanning-tree protocol. It allows a group of redundant ports to be set up for another set of ports.
