The Linksys WAP11 Wireless Access Point offers a simple, versatile way to add wireless capabilities to your network. It connects wireless computers to your wired network without any cabling hassle. The WAP11 creates an 11 mbps Wireless-B (802.11b) network in your home or office and includes advanced features, such as AP Client, Point-to-Point or Point-to-Multipoint Bridging, and Repeater Mode.
The WAP11 has dual-antenna configuration and antenna diversity, providing exceptional signal sensitivity and increased usable range. It offers up to 128-bit encryption and wireless MAC address filtering for added network and data protection. The WAP11 has a range of operation up to 150 meters indoors and up to 500 meters outdoors. Furthermore, it provides roaming, best access point selection, load balancing, and network traffic filtering. The WAP11 is interoperable with IEEE 802.11b (DSSS) 2.4 GHz-compliant equipment and supports up to 32 users/nodes.
Please note that the router is not included with the WAP11, so you cannot connect multiple users to the Internet.
