The Netgear AV Line M4250 series offers a range of switches that have been specially designed to support 1Gb audio and video over IP. The switches come equipped with customized hardware and software, and dedicated support services to make AV over IP a simplified process. The switches are available with a range of PoE+ and Ultra90 PoE++ options for powering various AVoIP endpoints and have multiple uplink options to cater to audio, and standalone or larger scale video deployments.

The M4250 series has switches ranging from 8 to 16 ports, and come equipped with 12-port multi-gigabit Ethernet and 16-port 1G/10G fiber models for easy plug and play aggregation in a star topology. The switches also integrate perfectly with other rack-mounted AV equipment. They come with a sleek black display panel with the status in front and the cables along with additional status at the back. The switches can also be mounted recessed by 2-inches to accommodate cabling. The software-controlled fans of the M4250 switches allow for a totally fanless operation when the ambient temperature and PoE loads are appropriate, making them incredibly convenient for use in noise-sensitive environments.

The M4250 series AV software features have been pre-configured for audio and video over IP. The switches are designed to enable encoders and decoders with zero configuration, which makes the installation process incredibly simple. The interface is particularly designed for AV installers, with specific AV-related controls made more accessible, and port-based profiles for audio, including Dante, Q-SYS, and AES67.
