This is a review of the Insta360 ONE X2 360 Action Camera by Insta360. This compact camera can shoot spherical VR footage in dual- or single-lens modes. The camera captures 360 5.7K resolution video in dual-lens mode. You can then use the companion iOS/Android app to navigate through the footage and select a specific angle to share on social media. On the other hand, you can switch to the single-lens mode to capture regular shots. The Steady Cam mode uses FlowState Stabilization and an advanced scene-detection algorithm to smooth out your shot, giving it a more steady look. This camera is 33′ waterproof and doesn’t require any waterproof housing, making it ideal for underwater photography and rainy conditions.

Other features of the ONE X2 include voice control, automatic editing through the mobile app, control via an optional Apple Watch, audio recording through optional AirPods, and more. It has four onboard mics with wind reduction to capture clean 360 audio, and it supports an optional dedicated 3.5mm mic adapter for connecting an external mic for more professional audio.
