Cloud storage is a crucial service for cloud computing that allows data owners to host their data in the cloud. However, this new data hosting and accessibility service introduces two significant security concerns: data integrity protection and data access control.

The first security concern is data integrity. Data owners may not trust cloud servers and fear that stored data may become corrupt or even get lost. To address this, this brief introduces a secure and efficient dynamic auditing protocol that supports dynamic and batch auditing.

The second security concern is data access control. Data owners may not rely on servers for access control, as some dishonest servers may provide data access to unauthorized users for profit gain. This brief presents two secure and efficient data access control schemes: ABAC for Single-authority Systems and DAC-MACS for Multi-authority Systems.

While Ciphertext-Policy Attribute-based Encryption (CP-ABE) is a promising technique for access control of encrypted data, the existing schemes cannot directly apply to cloud storage systems due to the attribute revocation problem. Therefore, this brief proposes new Revocable CP-ABE methods in both ABAC and DAC-MACS to solve the attribute revocation problem.
